Mark Fernandes is a Managing Partner at Sierra Ventures, a leading Silicon Valley venture capital firm. He joined Sierra in 2002 and focuses on investing in early-stage technology startups. His prior experience includes product management roles at Seagate and Cisco and equity research at Merrill Lynch. He has an MS in Robotics from UC Berkeley and an MBA from Harvard. 

Mark grew up in India and has been actively involved, for over ten years, with the India Literacy Project, which is focused on enabling children in rural schools to attain grade-appropriate skills and create pathways to productive careers.
