Prayer Services
This eucharistic liturgy commissions the students, faculty and staff for the various forms of service and ministry they will complete during the year. The entire community processes to the Cathedral Basilica of St. Joseph in downtown San José for the mass.
Held on the second Tuesday of each month, a variety of optional liturgy and prayer experiences are offered at 7:15am. The schedule includes mass, reconciliation and other prayer forms.
The Freshman Family Liturgy is a teaching mass, designed as an experience of spiritual learning for all Notre Dame freshman families to explore Catholic prayer experience and discover connections with the many faith traditions represented in our community.
This on-campus prayer experience celebrates the Catholic feasts of All Saints or All Souls as well as themes of remembrance and gratitude.
Celebrated during the season of Advent, this eucharistic liturgy marks either the Solemnity of the Immaculate Conception of Mary or the Feast of Our Lady of Guadalupe. These Marian feasts celebrate Mary, our school namesake.
All gather in St. Julie Billiart Hall for Morning Prayer or Liturgy of the Word and the distribution of ashes to begin the Lenten journey.
This liturgy focuses on the servant model of leadership given to us by Jesus with stations of the cross or mass. Justice immersion participants are blessed as part of this experience.
Parents and siblings are invited to give thanks for the academic year in prayer and celebration through this Sunday eucharistic liturgy at the Cathedral Basilica of St. Joseph.
The experience of liturgy and communal prayer culminates for seniors and their families at the Baccalaureate Mass celebrated at Cathedral Basilica of St. Joseph.

Notre Dame offers a program for students to prepare to celebrate the Sacrament of Confirmation. The program is offered every other year for junior and senior students only.
