Spring Sports in Full Swing

The spring sports season at Notre Dame features four sports - lacrosse, track & field, softball and swimming. Two of these, swimming and track and field, are no-cut sports which allows for greater participation and a much-needed physical break from the stress of college-preparatory academics. This season, we have 120 students, including 32 freshmen participating. While three of these sports are just getting underway, track and field is already posting some impressive results.

At the recent Willow Glen Invitational freshman Emma Scarra took second place in the frosh/soph high jump and first place in the frsoh/soph triple jump while setting new personal records. And, at the Kings Academy Invitational, athletes took home eight medals!

  • Leah Rufino '18 took home a 4th place medal in the varsity 100m
  • Isabel Mangoba '18 took home a 4th place medal each in the varsity long jump and triple jump
  • Mary Diemer '18 took home a 5th place medal in the varsity triple jump and a 4th place medal in the varsity high jump
  • Emma Scarra '20 took home a 2nd place medal in the frosh/soph 100m, a 1st place medal in the frosh/soph high jump, and a 1st place medal in the frosh/soph triple jump

We look forward to sharing more spring sports results in the coming weeks. Go Regents!
