The Notre Dame community doesn’t just consist of its current students — it also includes its incoming students. Every year, ND has an event called 8th Grade Day that gives potential students a peek into life at our school.

With the entire campus reserved strictly for the event, eighth-graders arrive on campus at the start of what would be a typical school day. Hosted by their big sibling class, which was the Class of 2026 Pink and Teal Stingrays this year, students from different schools are placed into mixed groups and led by a sophomore small group leader. They complete a variety of activities while touring an array of classrooms, getting the full hands-on learning experience. In typical Notre Dame fashion, food is always provided. The eighth-graders were treated to snacks they could enjoy in Pardini Park. The day concluded around lunchtime with a Spirit Week-esque rally filled with fun competition games led by Class Council and a routine from the Stingray cheerleaders. It’s safe to say that with a day like this, the eighth-grade students definitely enjoyed their stay.

We hope that the eighth-graders loved Eighth Grade Day as much as we loved hosting it. We hope to call them our future Class of 2028!

There is still time to submit your application for the 2024-25 school year! Find out more on our Admissions webpage.
