On Saturday evening, ND’s highly anticipated prom took place in the Corinthian Grand Ballroom, giving its attendees an unforgettable night. The event began on the entrance staircase, with a beautiful red carpet cascading down the steps as students stopped to take portraits with Ms. Mahler. Once inside, the venue was bedecked with shining multicolored lights and an enchanting dance floor.

Although many students opted to dance the night away as our DJ played great hits, such as “Just the Way You Are” by Bruno Mars, our prom gave students other activities to take part in. If one did not feel like dancing, there were several tables both surrounding the dance floor and on a separate level of the venue to help guests find some quiet, whether through relaxation rooms or sharing a moment in conversation. There was also a craft station where students could decorate masquerade masks and apply temporary tattoos.

Another highlight was the abundance of food and drinks, offering a chocolate fountain, an ice cream station, and an array of Shirley Temples and lemonade. Many juniors noted that they couldn’t stop getting more and more of the delicious drinks! The night was complete with its photo booth station, where students cemented their memories of the night with silly props and elegant backdrops.

A special moment came at the end of the night when the DJ played the heartwarming classic “Dancing Queen” by Abba. All the guests came together to sing their hearts out on the dance floor. Students left in a whirlwind of joy, knowing that this was a night to remember.
