College Counseling Hosts JET Fair

The idea of looking at, and choosing, a college is daunting to some, intriguing to others and yet, despite the different perceptions, the college search process presents itself as a new experience filled with learning. Notre Dame San Jose intentionally chooses to help juniors and seniors on this journey, giving them opportunities to closely interact with colleges and universities alike.

On the grassy field of Pardini Park on September 26th, students turned their heads to the Jesuit Excellence Tour (JET) colleges setting up tables and laying out their brochures with whispers of tentative curiosity. Colleges from Santa Clara University to Seattle University to the College of the Holy Cross came with smiles on their faces as Notre Dame students visited each of the tables. Juniors and seniors alike grabbed brochures, mingling in groups and asking questions about their field of interest and the study abroad opportunities presented.

With the JET fair,  juniors and seniors are beginning to realize the meaning of what the college experience is with the help of Notre Dame’s College & Career Center. Multiple Jesuit colleges and universities from across the country came to Notre Dame’s Pardini Park with their admissions office representatives. Notre Dame San Jose’s environment encourages students to grow and learn about the experience of change in their educational journey instead of shying away.
