The spirit of generosity ruled court recently as Notre Dame hosted Dig Pink, a volleyball competition between Notre Dame San Jose and Basis, to raise money in support of breast cancer research.
Notre Dame students showed their support of breast cancer research when most of the school came to school wearing pink. The NDSJ volleyball team raised money by selling pink tie-dye socks and pink shirts during lunch and after school, raising more than $1100 for breast cancer research! Not only did we raise money, Notre Dame’s volleyball team took this to the playing court against Basis. JB hall was crowded with friends, family, students, and teachers all there to support our team and cheer them on!
This annual fundraiser was another inspiring and positive event for the volleyball team and for the school! We can’t wait for next year!
