Sold-Out Crab Fest Raises Funds for Co-Curricular Programs - Feb. 2020

Notre Dame’s annual Crab Fest on February 1st was nothing less than crustacean heaven. Always popular, the event sold out in just a few minutes this year and surpassed its fundraising goal for co-curricular programs including forensics, ASB leadership, the Peer Ministry Leadership Team, athletics and many more.

Dinner included 1550 pounds of crab, platters of antipasto, bowls of pasta, green salad and mounds of buttery garlic bread. Spectacular homemade desserts were offered for purchase in a silent auction, providing groups with an opportunity to end their meal on a sweet note.

For the fifth year, the event included the popular Keys to Vegas, an opportunity to win a trip to the popular destination as well as a selection of raffle prizes and live auction items.

We are thankful to the many individuals responsible for the success of this event, starting with committee chairs Pat and Andrea Caldwell (Kelsey ’12). Thank you, also, to the committee of dedicated parents and alumnae who worked diligently for months to plan the event and the 200 parent and student volunteers who spent their Saturday helping to raise money for co-curricular programs at Notre Dame!

You can view photos of the event online here. And a video of the event here.

Also mark your calendars for our annual benefit and auction. This year's event, Imagine, will bring guests back to the 60s with live music provided by the Sgt Peppers Beatles Tribute Band. Save the date - May 9, 2020. Tickets will go on sale in early March.
