Launching Second Semester

Launching Second Semester

The Learning Commons was filled to capacity for the recent Annual Parent Preview evening. Grade-level breakout sessions provided information about the upcoming semester as well as a peek into what parents might expect for the 2020-2021 school year. To finish the evening, Principal Mary Beth Riley provided a floor-by-floor glimpse into what learning will look like next year in the Center for Women's Leadership.

Earlier in the day, students launched the second semester with an assembly reiterating their theme for the year - Belonging. Lizzie Hoang '12 led the opening prayer asking for God's blessing over her community of Notre Dame sisters.

Bless the journey of this school year.
With open hearts and open minds, we embraced new experiences
in order to create a community of belonging.
May we continue to recognize the possibilities for goodness
in our Notre Dame sisterhood and in our wider community.
Let our vision of justice, care, and peace be one that we see clearly,
So that we can work together to build a beautiful city.
Empower our hands, our minds, and our hearts for the journey to come!
As St Julie says, may we be women with hearts as wide as the world.
We pray this in the name of all that is good and holy. Amen.
