Teaching Them What they Need to Know for Life

Students in Notre Dame's Economics class recently visited Normandin Chrysler Jeep & Dodge to learn about the car buying process. At the dealership they learned about budgets, credit scores, down payments, interest rates and the value of trade-ins! The Normandin staff also provided lunch for the students and an extensive tour of the family-owned business that has been around almost as long as Notre Dame! Lon and Peg Normandin have been supporters of Notre Dame for many years, giving generously to endowment as well as major building projects. Peg (Margaret) Gretz Normandin graduated from ND in 1952 and married Lon. Normandin women have also been a part of Notre Dame for over a hundred years. Lon's grandmother Estelle Pinard '01 Normandin and his mother, Virginia Caprice '29 Normandin were ND grads! We thank them for their commitment to Notre Dame and for helping teach our current students "what they need to know for life."
