Students Inspired by Watermark Conference

Notre Dame students recently attended The Watermark Conference for Women held at the San Jose Convention Center. The students had the opportunity to network with professional business women, listen to influential keynote speakers such as Amal Clooney and Reese Whiterspoon, and learn from successful business women about topics such as body positivity, being heard in the workplace, and the role of resilience in success. “Sitting in the room filled with 6500 other successful women CEOs, entrepreneurs, doctors, lawyers, and engineers, I felt empowered and confident that I could achieve anything I put my mind to,” shared one student. Another student said that “The Watermark Conference inspired me through the eloquent speakers and the relatable workshops and challenged me to think in a way I had not considered before, especially in areas I tend to struggle in.”

The mission of the conference is to promote, communicate and amplify the influence of women in the workplace and beyond. Their annual nonpartisan, nonprofit conference brought together more than 6,000 who were able to connect, renew and find inspiration in community. “One of the most moving parts of the conference was hearing how success is self-defined,” shared one senior in reflecting on the conference.
