What is Sister Project?

Started in 2012, ND and Sacred Heart Community Service developed a partnership out of a need for feminine hygiene items. Each year in March all ND students are encouraged to bring an item that is collected and delivered to Sacred Heart. We also invite our entire Notre Dame community to support our online campaign. Since its inception we have donated items equaling a monetary donation of almost $145,000!

Are we collecting physical products this year?

YES! Each student has been asked to bring a physical item to donate. Note: This is a suggested item. You can bring this item or a different item, or you can donate online through our donation page. Or you can do BOTH! Campus Ministry CP Reps will be in Pardini each day at lunch throughout Sister Project Week to collect items. Prize incentives will be offered to the grade level with the highest amount donated. If you choose to donate online, every $10 donation will enter you into a raffle for the cance to win a $50 gift card! (Sorry, this last one is for ND students only).

Who is overseeing collections?

Campus Ministry CP reps will be tracking their grade level’s progress toward a goal. We would love to see 100% ND participation! As a school, if we reach our goal, we can earn a free dress day! 

What if I'm staff or a parent?

Totally fine! We are opening up our collections to ND staff, parents, and the wider community. If you are a mentor, you can note it as "staff" or a specific grade level when you contribute. Also, please feel free to keep encouraging students to send in their donations! We appreciate all the reminders we can send out to keep the momentum and friendly class competition going. Please invite families and friends to participate. We want to make this our biggest year yet!

When is the last day to donate?

We will be collecting all throughout Spirit Week but our final collection day is Friday, March 7. It wouldn't be a true Sister Project without the traditional photo of the supplies we collect. It's an impressive sight and we are so proud of 14 years of our partnership with Sacred Heart Community Services.
