Personal Statement
Notre Dame's mission resonates with me personally — I watched my own daughter thrive through four years at an all-girls Catholic high school, so I know firsthand what that kind of education can do for young women. Saint Julie's call to "teach them what they need to know for life" is exactly what I think about math. Mathematical literacy is one of the most empowering tools we can give young women, because honest, data-driven reasoning is essential to understanding and addressing the defining challenges of our time — climate change, public health, and economic inequality.
