Tesha McCord Poe is the founder and CEO of Joy-Raising, a consultancy advancing inclusive philanthropy. A seasoned educator, fundraiser, and board leader, she has helped organizations raise over $100 million while centering equity and belonging. Tesha is the creator of signature programs like The Summit, The Academy, and The Community, which guide nonprofits and schools nationwide to align fundraising strategy with values and impact. 

Tesha has held several roles in Bay Area schools, including Interim Head of School at Girls' Middle School, Chief Advancement Officer at Castilleja School, and Associate Head of School at Hillbrook School. She serves on several nonprofit boards, including the Mariposa Foundation DR, located in the Dominican Republic, where she serves as Board Chair.

An avid traveler, she especially enjoys adventures with her two daughters, graduates of Castilleja School. Tesha is also the co-author of Beyond Widow, a book about the early parts of her journey after loss.
