Notre Dame High School

Counseling Event - Understanding Your Teen: Navigating School in a Pandemic

September 25

8:00 am - 9:00 am

So much of our world as we know it has altered and changed since the COVID-19 pandemic hit our communities in March.  This changed how many of us live, work, socialize, and attend school.  While we all have been impacted, this has been especially difficult for teenagers. Teens are hard-wired to prioritize socializing and friendships, so being isolated at home from their peers has been especially challenging. School doesn’t look like they imagined, and what they thought about college, and the future, is constantly changing.

Please join Heather Valentine from the Notre Dame Counseling Department on September 25, 8:00-9:00am for Understanding your Teen: Navigating School in a Pandemic to develop a greater understanding of how your teen may be impacted during this time.   You will gain insight into key elements of adolescent development, as well as learn important strategies to help you offer appropriate support to your teen.  While the future of this pandemic may still be unknown, equipping yourselves with information and new tools will allow you to better understand your teen, and aid in their success during this year.   Please RSVP for the event here. We look forward to seeing you on September 25th!
