I love that Notre Dame has a long standing legacy of preparing young women for the future and that it's mission aligns with my Catholic faith and values. I am passionate about education because it has provided me with incredible opportunities. As an undergraduate I did an internship in Washington DC, working with victims of domestic violence, and to live in Sienna, Italy to learn about its rich culture and history. As a graduate student I met peers from all over the world and worked with diverse groups of people in the Midwest. Women's education is vital to our growth as a society because education provides a vehicle to empower women to take ownership of their lives.
