Christopher Arriola is the Supervising Deputy District Attorney in charge of the Community Prosecution Unit, working to prevent Juvenile Crime and build strong communities, at the Santa Clara County District Attorney's Office in San Jose, CA.  Mr. Arriola is also the Diversity and Inclusion Chair for the District Attorney’s Office. He has been a Deputy DA in San Jose for 22 years and previously worked at the Los Angeles District Attorney's Office after graduating from Stanford University in History and then UC Berkeley Law School.  

Mr. Arriola grew up in Southern California and is the grandchild of Mexican Immigrants.  While in law school he published his Senior Thesis on the 1947 school desegregation case Mendez v. Westminster and later consulted on the Emmy Award winning PBS documentary about the case.

Mr. Arriola served as President of the Santa Clara County Bar Association in 2006, initiating the President’s Blue Ribbon Commission on Diversity in Silicon Valley.  He has served on many committees and boards including Senator Barbara Boxer's Judicial Selection Committee for the Federal District Court, the Stanford Alumni Association Board of Directors, President of both La Raza Lawyers of California and the La Raza Lawyers Charitable Foundation. He currently serves on Governor Gavin Newsom’s Judicial Selection Advisory Committee (JSAC) for Northern California. He is a board member of the St. Thomas More Society and helps organize their Red Mass for lawyers annually.  He lives in San Jose with his wife and two children who are active members of St. Martin of Tours Parish.  His daughter is a member of the class of 2023.
