Teaching, Performing & Creating in Downtown San Jose

Teaching, performing and creating, right here on Notre Dame’s campus in the heart of downtown San Jose!  Notre Dame students took part in Art House, San Jose’s first downtown artistic block party, Saturday afternoon. Families in the neighborhood, and visitors from throughout the extended community, toured the galleries on 1st Street between Reed and Williams, sampled food, created artwork and spent a spring afternoon enjoying what our students experience daily – the diversity and richness of an urban campus and its surrounding landscape. more

Notre Dame Students Immersed in the Fishing World of the Monterey Bay

Eight Notre Dame students recently traveled to Santa Cruz and Monterey for an oral history immersion trip entitled Fishing World of the Monterey Bay. This interdisciplinary experience immersed students in the ecological, cultural, historical, and economic diversity that encompasses the Monterey Bay National Marine Sanctuary. more

Notre Dame Students Honor & Remember Victims of Genocide

Notre Dame graduates are spiritual seekers and justice advocates with a desire to create a better world for all individuals.  Through an interrelated curriculum they study human rights and genocide across the globe.  But their education extends beyond the classroom, beyond books and outside traditional confines, putting a very real face on issues of global injustice.   more
