Winter Sports Awards Night - March 6th at 6pm - all welcome
Reminder – To all students who are currently enrolled in an AP class: Registration for this year’s AP tests is due on March 24th. The AP test Registration form can be found on the Moodle page. Please see the form for specific details regarding test information. If you think you qualify for a fee reduction or are requesting financial assistance, the Fee Reduction Request for AP Tests can also be found on Moodle. The deadline for this request was 2/25/14 but has been extended to 3/14/14 –please see Ms. Tupaj-Farthing or Mrs. Tifft in the main office regarding these requests.
The Women’s Spirituality Group will be offering an eight week series of reflection on Tattoos on Hearts by Fr. Greg Boyle starting on Feb 25th. The reflection will be focused on the spirituality of the book and specific chapters will discussed each week. You are welcome to attend one or all of these sessions. There will be a guide with a reading schedule and reflection questions for those participating.

Junior and Sophomore Parents will learn about financial aid for COLLEGES and UNIVERSITIES in this informative evening with Rita Grogan, Director of Enrollment Services at Mission College and former Director of Financial Aid at Santa Clara University. The event begins at 7 p.m. in the Learning Commons on Tuesday March 18th, 2014.

Notre Dame is pleased to again sponsor the STEAM speaker series
on four dates during the 2013-14 school year. This speaker series occurs during collaboration and is open to all students. The biology honors and AP environmental science students will attend the series as part of their curriculum. On October 30, Dr. Lynne Trulio, Environmental Studies professor and department chairperson at SJSU will speak about globalization and its impact on the environment. Hali Shaw, Notre Dame class of 2001, will talk on 12/4 about her role at NASA in the bio-engineering branch working on life support for space travel. On February 26, alumna Cheryl Zurbrick (2005
) joins us to discuss her research at sea on heavy metal contamination in the ocean. She is a PhD candidate at UCSC and will be defending her dissertation this spring. Finally, on April 30 we will have a presentation by Alliance for Climate Education on global climate change.
