We commit ourselves to community service.
The Hallmark above was shared at an event I attended a few months ago. The event was a celebration of all the hard work done by the board of directors, various committees, school administration and the parent association. It was amazing to meet the wonderful group of people who work behind the scenes and are so dedicated to making Notre Dame the wonderful place that it is.
The Parent Association plays a key role in living the truth of this Hallmark. We are a group of parents committed to assisting in a multitude of capacities to assist the school in accomplishing their mission. The Parent Association is coordinated by a steering committee. A list of the current steering committee members can be found
here.
I recall overhearing a parent say, "Wow, this high school is a wonderful place! I wish I could attend high school here." Being part of the parent association, and volunteering for an event, allows you to experience the community, spirituality, equality and justice our daughters experience every day.
Every Tuesday, you will receive a weekly email communication, the NDPA Panorama, which contains parent association news and various events where your assistance is needed. All volunteers can sign up through
iVolunteer. During my first year at Notre Dame, I volunteered to assist at different events to learn about the community and also to catch a glimpse of some of the activities and events my daughter will participate in as she continues her Notre Dame education.
I know that most of us worked at our daughter's elementary school in some capacity. We would love for you to continue volunteering for our Notre Dame community as well. I look forward to meeting you and seeing you on campus! Please feel free to contact me with any questions you may have.
