The Notre Dame Graduation outcomes guide the program development in the Creative and Performing Arts.  Incorporating downtown surroundings and under the tutelage of artist-teachers, the Creative and Performing Arts program provides students with the opportunity to develop skills and talents while taking reasonable risks to grow and explore new possibilities.

Artist-teachers utilize the creative downtown community as extensions of their studio classrooms. South First street galleries, museums, and theaters become venues for students to experience the work of professionals and to cultivate an appreciation for the classical as well as the cutting edge. These opportunities for enrichment in theater, visual arts, and music enhance the student’s own experimentation in creativity and create paths that include career exploration and develop a lifetime appreciation for the arts and creative expression.
